Stretch Goal Update

We have just a few days left and I can already feel the campaign building some steam. I have placed adds on BGG and facebook which will hopefully drive some traffic but I think we can do more. I have moved the stretch goals around a bit.

The double thick player boards is something I really want in the game. Let be honest I really want all of them :). So I have moved the double thick player board into a social stretch goal. 

These boards will include recessed locations for energy tokens. We will add this to the game once we get 300 shares across 2 of our social posts. Facebook Share or Twitter Retweet. Please be respectful of all group rules when sharing within specific community groups. 

Awareness is our greatest challenge with this campaign. There are so many great games out there right now it is hard to sort through them all. For many people, word of mouth is still a preferred method to learn about new games especially in our growing industry. Please consider sharing these posts and we can make the game better by working on 2 stretch goals at once.

We are very close to the punchboard UV goal and with the move of the player boards to a social stretch goal this brings the canvas bag goal down to where it can be a real possibility. I am also looking at pricing to include an embroidered logo on the canvas bag as well.

10k unlocked!

Last night we hit the 10k stretch goal. This means we have unlocked the score pad. Thank you all so much for your support. 

You may have noticed the last update was a bit odd. I am sorry for that I was sending out two updates one to you and another to the Palm Island backers. I accidentally pasted the wrong content into the update. I guess that's what I get for rushing to get updates out on my lunch break. I am sorry about that. I did edit the update with the correct content which includes some videos and interviews with various content creators in our awesome board game community. What a wonderful morning to wake up and find that your campaign is FUNDED! In less than 24 hours no less!

I truly want to thank each and every one of you. We are a small company and we literally could not do this without your support. Even though this is my 4th game on kickstarter it is still surreal to me that I am able to do this in such an awesome industry with such wonderfully supportive people.

Each of my games so far has been very different and Planetoid is an important game to me because it represents family gaming. A while ago we started game nights with each of our kids on an individual basis which was so much fun and great for each kid to enjoy time with mom and dad as well as explore their own style of games. The mixture of critical thinking and social interaction is so valuable to young and old minds alike. As a foster family games have also become a useful tool to connect with new members of our household. Games have allowed us to break the ice but also break down subconscious barriers and grow closer as we experience adventures together. Games mean more than just fun to me and I am sure they will continue to do so in our home.

We have videos incoming from Derek Funkhouser and The Bearded Meeple but Derek is out of town with slow internet and sickness hit Tyler's house so they got delayed. We wish Derek a safe trip and Tyler and his family a speedy recovery. Palm Island Add-on

We have had some questions about the shipping of Palm Island with Planetoid. In backerkit there will be an option for the Planetoid/Palm Island Combo package. This will be $40 for both with shipping at the same rate as Planetoid alone.

Manufacturing

It may seem early to begin dealing with the production but if I have learned anything from my previous projects it is that you are never too early. Last night I picked up a sample from our manufacturer of the board. It is looking very good. This is the second version they have produced to test the assembly and ensure that it remains durable through typical use. The double thick puzzle assembled board is not a standard so we are going the extra mile to ensure it works well.

Stretch Goals

We have funded so now we are on to Stretch Goals! The first of which is to enhance the box. At $6,000 we will add a UV coat to the front and back of the box. Which will help it pop and increase the overall quality of the game.
