We got back from Gen Con this week and have been playing catch up with all the emails and messages that have piled up.
UK & Rest of the World
The Planetoid had some unfortunate timing with getting caught in customs and then Spiral Galaxy and us being at Gen Con. We sorted out the paperwork and they have the games now. Today (August 9) they started sending the confirmation emails out and Tuesday will begin shipping. Sadly, there will not be tracking on these orders.
AU
We spoke with Aetherworks at Gen Con as well and they have the shipment and were planning on processing it when they returned as well.
Game Issues
We have seen the reports of the issues with the box and the punchboards. These are unfortunate mistakes and I am sorry for them. We will be adjusting the box and the tokens in future prints. For those that do not know there are shipping bonus tokens that have "throwaway" icons on their back. These were supposed to be on one token. If you threw them away it is not a big deal. These just add a bit of variety to what bonuses could show up in the game. At this time I am exploring what it would take to print replacements for these tokens. As far as the box goes there have been many shared solutions to how to load it but simply put, do not put the player boards in the bottom of the box, the main board (planetoid/asteroid) pieces should go first.

Fulfillment has begun

Let me give a quick update on the non-USA shipments first, as I have more details on the USA one.
Canada was supposed to be part of the USA delivery and split out when it reached the final leg of the journey. However, the boxes were not marked correctly. I decided to reroute them here so we could go through them and ensure we have the correct amounts for everything before shipping them to the Snakes and Lattes forwarding facility on Monday.
Australia has received the shipments and I am waiting to hear back from them on their totals and when they will begin processing. Hopefully, this will be soon.
The rest of the world shipment has cleared customs and will arrive with Spiral Galaxy on Tuesday the 30th. They should be processing those orders shortly after that.
The USA pallets were delayed a bit and we had to be a bit more agile than expected for their delivery. Though I had made specific requests about the truck and method of delivery, however, they came with a semi that was not able to get to our facility. Thankfully a local business was kind enough to let us use their parking lot to accept the delivery.
My mother, father, sister, daughter, two nephews and I made quick work of the loading the delivery up into our vehicles.
2 miles down the road we unloaded again at my family's chocolate factory, my mom and sister make some awesome chocolate!!
With chocolate production paused for the Planetoid fulfillment, we are now all working to get the games out as quickly as possible.
USA backers should be receiving their tracking codes through the next few days. Most packages will be arriving within 3-5 days after shipping.
The growth of Portal Dragon and your support of our games has helped me take steps toward doing this more full time. My wife and I have been working hard toward this for a long time, where I can work from home and spend even more time with our family. We have purchased a house in Tennessee and will be moving there as soon as the adoption of 4 of our 8 children is finalized. My family and I have been down here in Tennessee for about a week fixing up our new house and awaiting the Planetoid shipment. The delay was a bit frustrating, but it has been awesome to spend some time at our new house and property playing, working, and exploring with the kids.
As for now, we are full time into fulfillment and once we finish we will be off to Gen Con. By the way, Planetoid is on the BGG Gen Con preview tool. If you like the game please consider giving it a thumbs up on there, it will help us reach more people. If you are picking up your pledge at Gen Con just stop by booth #3040 with your backer details.

So I have details on all the shipments now that they have all left. The AU shipment has been underway for a bit longer than the rest, but we are looking pretty good for all the shipments. I included the links to the ships, but the dates through the links seem a little bit different those the shipper provided which are below.
We will be processing the USA orders here in our facility before we take off to Gen Con. All other orders should be processed before or around that time as well. I cannot tell you all what your support means to me and my family as this business would not be possible without all our backers. A big part of our business is using conventions to connect with community members and creators so that we can market our games. Those trips would also not be possible if it were not for your support of our games. And don't forget if you signed up for a Gen Con pickup we will be at booth #3040, just bring your backer info with you.
Orders have been locked in Backerkit, but you should be able to update your address. The AU orders will lock addresses on July 10th since they will be shipping out soon. All others we will give until July 20th. If you have any issues please email us at [email protected]

Locked Orders and Getting on the Boat!

As you have probably seen by now, we have locked the orders and charged cards. Sorry for the lack of warning there. In the future, I will have to send reminders that we charge cards when we close Backerkit. If you need any help with your order please contact Samantha or I at [email protected]
There was a slight delay in the packaging, but we are all set now and the games are getting ready to depart for their various fulfillment centers this week. We will personally be fulfilling all US orders, Snakes and Lattes will be handling Canadian orders, Aetherworks will be shipping Australian and New Zealand orders and Spiral Galaxy will be handling the EU and the rest of the world. The boats will take about a month to arrive and we will begin fulfilling as soon as they do. Fulfillment shipments may take up to a month to arrive for some countries.
I have also received the full production copy and it is looking nice.
Game box. You can kinda see the UV coating.
Packed Box. I removed it from the bag but each set of the 5 game boards will be in its own bag to protect it during shipment.
Game materials. The cloth bag is for storing bonuses to keep them secret during selection. I also took these photos right after it rained so the paper score pad reacted to the moister in the air.
All the parts. Minus 2 player boards the sample they sent did not have the 4 player boards. The shipped copies will.
Punch boards. These got UV coating too. I tried to use a flashlight to highlight it. It is on every resource icon that is higher than rock and it is included on the aliens as well.
Board assembly. I added a little guide to help assemble the boards. They have dots on the various pieces. Match 1 dot with 1 dot, 2 dots with 2 dots and so on.

Player board. The double thick boards turned out very nice and will really help with the stored resources at the top.

Printing is wrapping up.

So the prints are done for the game they just need to assemble them and "wrap things up". Here are some pictures of the production.
I don't want to get ahead of my self and say dangerous words like ahead of schedule, but, they have estimated that the production will be completed by the end of May.

As its mothers day, I wanted to say thanks to two great women in my life. First, my mom who gave me my entrepreneurial spirit, who always supports and believes in me while not hiding hard truths I need to hear. Second to my wife who impresses me more and more each day with her strength, compassion, humor, and relentless love for our crazy amazing family. I am so glad we get to do life together.
