Our BackerKit is now live. Please allow a few hours for all surveys to be sent to everyone. 

Please complete your BackerKit information as soon as possible. We will leave it open for as long as we can but it helps us arrange everything if we have the details of your order in a timely fashion.

If you have any trouble, please contact the BackerKit support team or us through Kickstarter messenger.

Below, I have included some information to help those who are new to BackerKit.

How BackerKit Works

In BackerKit you will start with your current pledge and the amount paid in Kickstarter as a credit that you may apply towards shipping and add-ons.  BackerKit works much like an e-commerce site where you can add items to your cart. If you pledged for the Planetoid level you will already have a copy of Planetoid added to your cart under Pledge Level. Add-Ons will be listed in their own section. 

$1 level and pledges without a level

If you wish to get a copy of Planetoid please changed your pledge level. To do so click on "Your Pledge Level $1 Reward" then click on "Switch  Pledge Levels?" and change your pledge to "$22 Reward - Planetoid Game".

If you are not purchasing Planetoid, you can add any of the other items without changing your pledge level.

GenCon Pickup

Shipping is planned to begin prior to GenCon. However, if you would like to save on shipping you can pick up your items by meeting us at our booth at GenCon. If you wish to pick up your items at GenCon simply add the free "GenCon Pickup" item to your Backerkit order. We will then bring your order to GenCon and we will email details on how to find our booth. If you do not add this add-on to your order you will not be able to pick up your items at GenCon.

Shipping will still be charged for your pledge in case you are unable to pick up your items. If you do pick it up we will refund the shipping amount once we are back in the office after GenCon. If you were unable to pick up at GenCon fear not, we will ship them to you after Gencon is over.

We are now starting to send surveys through a Backerkit smoke test. This means 5% of our backers will be getting their surveys very soon. This will allow us to ensure that the system is working well before fully opening it up. If you receive a survey please fill it out as soon as possible and if you have any problems please let us know.

I will be sending the remaining Backerkit invites as soon as we get responses from the smoke test.

Manufacturing

Our manufacturer is Shanghai Hopes. I have worked with them on a previous project and they have provided great service. They have a great track record with many well know productions. I am not sure I can share which but I will say that 5 games they produced were already in my collection and from very well known publishers.

We already have the samples for the board and they have begun production on the main board. I am working with them to get the proofs for the remaining components so we can begin printing them as soon as possible.

First of all I would like to thank you all so much. It means more than I can tell you that so many people support my design. We are a small company and truly could not do this without your support. I am thrilled to be able to continue to make games and I am so excited for the future of Portal Dragon. 

Planetoid is happening! I have been working with the manufacturer to prepare for the print and we are very close to pressing that big red go button. 4 stretch goals unlocked! We came $342 short of the canvas bag stretch goal. I am sure we will get that in the pledge manager so I am going to go ahead and commit now to adding the embroidered canvas bag. 

This weekend will be busy for us as we finish up the materials for print and get backerkit set up. We will send invites to backerkit as soon as we are ready to go. There you will be able to select your rewards and set up your shipping. 

I will keep you informed as we move through the production process. Our manufacturer has a great history and I have worked personally with them before so is possible that we could have an early delivery but there are always snags to deal with and I always do my best to share the good and the bad in our updates.

UV Punch Boards Unlocked!

Last night we sailed past the $16k stretch goal which adds a UV coat to the punch boards. This will further highlight the resource tiles on the board.

Next we are working towards the $24k stretch goal which is the canvas bag. I have spoken to my manufacturer and gotten a quote for the bag with an embroidered logo and we are add that to the stretch goal.

Just a reminder we have a social stretch goal that will upgrade the player boards to be double thick with recessed locations for energy tokens. We will add this to the game once we get 300 total shares and retweets across these 2 social media posts: Facebook and Twitter. We are almost half way there! Please be respectful of all group rules when sharing within specific community groups. 

We are coming up on the end of the campaign and moving towards printing so I am looking for proofreaders. I am trying something new and opening it up to a wider audience so that we can catch any issues as early as possible. The rule book is currently in the hands of the play testers and I will be sharing that soon but here is a document that lays out the majority of the remaining text in the game. Palm Island Reprint Details

So you know we are reprinting the plastic card edition of our previous game Palm Island and it is part of the Planetoid campaign as an add-on. I have been working with our manufacturer to get an improved wallet included with the game. If all testing works out this would be an imitation leather wallet that holds the solo materials. They are making samples now. This wallet will be included in the new plastic card retail edition of the game. 

Planetoid is already funded and on its way to more stretch goals. Please consider sharing the campaign so we can reach even more stretch goals and make the game even better.
